Adolescent Unit
The unit is located on the second floor and cares for adolescents seeking voluntary admission. Programs focus on symptom management for adolescents with a range of psychiatric conditions such as mood disturbance, anxiety disorders and psychosis.

Your Stay
Your Psychiatrist will discuss and direct your psychiatric, medical and paramedical treatment whilst you are in hospital. If you have any concerns about your progress or management please discuss these with your doctor, or the nurse in charge of your area. There is an expectation that you will attend recommended inpatient programs throughout your hospital stay
Pre Admission
Patient Services staff are located on the ground floor in the Reception area will facilitate your admission upon arrival. Unit staff will escort you to your room and orientate you to the Clinic.

Research
The Ramsay Health Care Chair of Psychiatry of the University of Melbourne, and the Professorial Psychiatry Unit are very active in a range of studies to evaluate new treatments, and assess standards of care and their improvement. Studies have been undertaken on anxiety disorders, depression (including bipolar disorder), thinking processes, and schizophrenia.

We have over 50 full time and part time Consultant Psychiatrists in the Private Consulting Suites. Many of the doctors have special interests such as children and adolescents.
