Schools Study Day

The Schools Study Day is an annual seminar especially designed for professionals who are working with children, adolescents and their families within the school system. Colleagues from Albert Road Clinic join with school professionals to share their knowledge and expertise on major mental health issues many young people face today. The emphasis of the study day is to empower school professionals to develop strategies to help students who may be troubled or at risk.

Previous topics covered include: treating anxiety in children and adolescents; autism spectrum disorders; adolescent sleep needs, patterns and difficulties; stress, anxiety and VCE; adolescent adjustment, coping and substance use; eating disorders & self harm; and using art therapy with adolescents.

Schools Newsletter

The Schools Newsletter is a quarterly email to interested school professionals that outlines current programs and education offered to adolescents at Albert Road Clinic. Included in the newsletter is space availability in programs, referral processes for programs and psychiatrists, and information about new programs being offered.

School Professionals requiring information about the Schools Study Day or being added to the mailing list for the Schools Newsletter should contact the Adolescent Inpatient Unit on Ph.9256 8320.
