ECT Training Program
Albert Professional Development conducts an ECT Training Program at Albert Road Clinic for suitably qualified medical and nursing staff administering ECT in their hospitals.
The ECT Training Program consists of practical and theoretical components and an overview of the history of ECT, and its contemporaneous use. ECT is an evolving treatment and participants will be advised of different techniques of ECT and are likely to observe the administration of different techniques during the three days of the program. The training program gives participants ‘hands-on’ experience in managing the basics of administering ECT, and the context in which it is administered. They should also be adept at learning new techniques and advances in treatment when available.

The course is run over three mornings (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) commencing at 7.00am each day. Attendance at all components of the training program is required to receive a certificate of attendance at the conclusion of the training program.
